BONNEVILLE News-Talk KSL-A-F/SALT LAKE CITY 12:30-3p (MT) weekday host JAY MCFARLAND has announced his exit from the station after nine years.

MCFARLAND, making the announcement in an "Aloha FRIDAY" appearance with afternoon anchor JEFF CAPLAN after being off the air for two weeks, said that he is leaving KSL, but he is remaining officially mum about his next move, which has been rumored to involve a run for Congress as a Republican in the already-crowded primary in UTAH’s 4th Congressional District, challenging Rep. BEN MCADAMS (D-UT). He hinted to CAPLAN that he has been "soul searching" in places "back EAST that have a lot of monuments."

MCFARLAND joined KSL from then-CBS RADIO News KRLD-A/DALLAS in 2010.
